Spray Tint - the easy answer to ceiling restoration During the past two decades, suspended ceilings in offices, shops and public buildings have become accepted as the sensible and quick answer for hiding wires, pipes, computer cables, ventilation shafts, etc. Invariably the finished result looks neat, modern and, in a neutral sort of way, aesthetically pleasing.

But within a couple of years of installation, the once pure white tiles can take on a patchy, Unhygienic tobacco-brown tinge, ruining the overall appearance of the space they look down upon. With rapidly escalating material costs, tile replacement can be just as expensive as the initial installation. Replacement is also a lengthy process, often causing days of disruption to the whole building.
The swift, effective and hygienic as clean "Spray Tint" method of ceiling restoration. Using a unique formulation of pigment coating, "Spray Tint" restores a ceiling to its original "new" condition, without impeding any of the inherent fire retardancy or acoustic properties - and at a cost saving of up to 90 per cent compared with total tile replacement.

However, regardless of the obvious economic considerations, as clean has found over the years that many organisations have opted for Spray Tint purely for its speed of application. Some have even specified a soft pastel shade rather than white to complement the overall decor. as clean operatives work at times convenient to the customer. To minimise office "down-time" this is usually through the night and at weekends.
Michael Bennett, Managing Director of as clean, takes up the Spray Tint argument: "As most people are aware, over the years suspended ceilings become soiled, damaged and discoloured, giving a dull and neglected appearance. So what options do you have? - The problems won't go away. They will only increase, and the damage and discolouration becomes more obvious when the area beneath is decorated or refurbished.

Unless it is absolutely essential, why replace a perfectly good ceiling, especially with replacement costs ranging between £12 to £30 per square metre, depending on the type of ceiling chosen?

Many suspended ceilings can be maintained by cleaning using the as clean "spray clean" method. However, this will not restore the ceiling to its original pristine condition as discolouration and soiling could remain and tiles that have been changed or replaced then become particularly obvious.

Most suspended ceilings can be re-tinted using "Spray Tint". This process will restore a ceiling to its pristine condition without altering the aesthetic appearance, acoustic properties or fire rating of the original tiles.

as clean have been involved in suspended ceiling restoration since 1982, and in the early 1990's - after considerable experimentation and research - developed a product known as 'Spray Tint'. This is a specially formulated pigment coating, which has been tested giving '0' Fire Rating and enhanced acoustic properties. It is produced exclusively for us to our own specification and is applied by our team of fully trained operatives - thus cutting out the middle-man and enabling us to pass on the considerable cost savings to our clients.

Naturally as clean has ISO 9002 quality assurance accreditation and the company uses only proven environmentally-friendly chemicals and coatings which exceed the strictest British and European health, safety and fire regulations."
